The idea for "Absolutely French" was born from Armelle Perben’s personal experience as an expatriate, faced with the challenges of integrating into the local country and culture. The start-up, founded in 2013, provides an innovative service to the partners of expatriate executives based in France, facilitating and accelerating their integration into French society.

Selected and supported by HEC, Absolutely French is based at the Station F campus and serves large corporations such as l’Oréal and Air Liquide.

At PWN Paris, since she joined in 2013, Armelle has been a very active member, participating in several projects and culminating with her current role as VP of Corporate Partnerships. Through her involvement in the network, she crossed paths with Catherine Brennan .

Catherine also joined PWN in 2013 and engaged in the organisation of the Best Of 2015, the annual flagship event of the network; in the creation of a "career transition" path to support women in the network; as well as in the role of General Secretary in July 2016. Explaining her engagement, Catherine said "In PWN, I find the necessary balance between the support of women’s careers and the actions to advance gender equality in organisations.”
Throughout a 20-year career, Catherine has successfully contributed to the set-up and management of international customer service organisations.

Both ladies share a set of values and beliefs as well as a non-linear career path. In addition, they worked together on the Best Of 2015 and have since continued to support each other in their respective professional projects.

In June, when Armelle mentioned she was recruiting to support the growth of her company, Catherine just said « I’m in! ».
Catherine will endeavour to keep her clients happy and to contribute to the development of Absolutely French .

Absolutely French, entreprise sélectionnée et soutenue par HEC pour son fort potentiel,  est basée à Station F. Elle est née de l’expérience d’Armelle Perben.

Conjointe d’expatrié lors de 6 missions à l’étranger, Armelle a conçu la réponse à l’intégration des conjoints qu’elle aurait rêvé avoir.  Des formations de français ludiques et conviviales, où l’on visite Paris et les lieux importants pour bien s’adapter (mairie, bibliothèque, etc), où l’on apprend les clés pour comprendre la culture française et pour appréhender le monde du travail. Le plus important de cette formation est la définition d’un projet d’expatriation avec l’équipe, qu’il soit professionnel ou familial.

Armelle a rejoint PWN Paris en 2013, via le PER : Prix Entrepreneur Responsable, au tout début du projet. Et elle occupe actuellement le poste de VP Corporate Partnership au sein du conseil d’administration, après avoir été bénévole à d’autres postes durant 5 ans.

C’est au sein de PWN qu’elle croise Catherine Brennan engagée dans le bénévolat actif : l’organisation du Best Of 2015, évènement phare du réseau, la création d’un parcours « transition de carrière » pour accompagner les femmes du réseau puis secrétaire générale pendant 2 ans : « Je trouve dans PWN l’équilibre entre l’accompagnement des carrières féminines et l’action nécessaire à la progression de l’égalité homme-femme au sein des entreprises. » Le fil conducteur de son parcours se résume en 3 mots : service, client et transformation.

Elles partagent valeurs et convictions, un CV atypique et une vraie volonté de faire progresser les femmes dans la sphère économique et leur donner toutes les opportunités de développer leur carrière professionnelle.

Elles ont travaillé ensemble sur le Best Of 2015 et lorsqu’en juin dernier Armelle lui parle des projets d’expansion d’Absolutely French et son besoin de recruter, Catherine lui dit tout simplement : « pourquoi pas moi ? ».

Catherine va donc apporter toute son expérience et son engagement au service des  clients et de la croissance d’Absolutely French.
