Running@PWN Paris: join the team!

By Andrea Vielhaber

The PWN Paris running team “Running @PWN Paris” is a great mix of beginners and experienced runners with a fantastic team spirit. We train regularly and take part in races in Paris and around France:

La Parisienne

The most prestigious race is « La Parisienne » (www.la-parisienne.net), a 7km race in Paris held every September that attracts up to 40,000 women. The next run is on September 9, 2018.

For some of our running groups, La Parisienne is their first ever race so get race ready we run a series of training sessions from June to September. And they work! For the past six years we have finished in the top 5% and in 2015 and 2017 we finished 3rd (out of approx. 500 teams).

Registration for the PWN La Parisienne team opens on May 15, 2018 and runs until end of June. Please note that you can only be part of the Running@PWN Paris La Parisienne team if you register through us!

Ekiden:

Ekiden (www.ekiden-paris.fr) is a marathon relay race in the centre of Paris that originally hails from Japan. It takes place every year in November. There are six people in a team, with each woman running 5, 6.2 or 10km to complete the marathon distance of 42.2 km.

We have put together two marathon relay teams, once in 2015 and again 2017, and had a lot of fun!
