PWN Paris hosted its Welcome Cocktail of the Rentrée

02 October 2019

On 26th September, PWN Paris was delighted to host new members at its Welcome Cocktail held in the fine premises of Hotel de l’Industrie in central Paris. With more than 40 attendees including 4 men, the evening offered the opportunity to learn about PWN Paris activities, as well as to have a vivid exchange in a friendly manner during a cocktail.

Indeed, ever since the network became open to men in June 2019, PWN Paris is pleased to host more gentlemen, executives and leaders, eager to promote gender balance in their professional environment.

Marie-Laetitia Gourdin, Vice President Membership of PWN Paris, introduced the network, its activities and key programmes aimed at promoting gender balance and women's leadership and career development.

Marie-Laetitia also invited all new members to take an active role in the various opportunities offered by PWN Paris, either as participant or as volunteer, one of the best way to fully embrace all that the network has to offer.

Romaine Johnstone, Vice President Development, has introduced the upcoming events of the three key programmes she oversees, namely Mentoring, Professional Development and Drive your Career. All these programmes aim at developing women's leadership and career.

Sophie Grenier, co-Lead of the PWN Paris Mentoring Team, introduced Mentoring programs which provide a unique opportunity to gain skills, ideas to accelerate a career and to challenge a professional project. PWN Paris has three mentoring cycles: classic, reverse (digital) and inclusive.

Valeria Bini and Kerstin Leibold, co-Lead of the new programme International HUB introduced the objectives of the programme and invited all participants to join the kick-off event “Intercultural management and stereotypes - how to best deal with it” that successfully took place on October 2nd. The programme is focused on cultural differences and their impact on professional environment and gives the keys for effective intercultural management.

In her concluding remarks, Marie-Laetitia invited to participants to look at PWN Paris 2019-2020 calendar that offers exciting networking opportunities, and put an emphasis on the upcoming Christmas Party organised on December 5th.
