PWN PARIS International HUB Program kick-off

17 September 2019

Boost your international career – join us for cross-cultural insights, expert knowledge and international networking!

“Intercultural management and stereotypes - how to best deal with it”

Knowing how to identify cultural differences in the workplace can give you a competitive edge – and make you enjoy the cooperation with your international colleagues a whole lot more!

So come to our kick-off event and learn from expert guest speaker INDIRA BONVINI (Intercultural Coach and Vice President Alumni Bocconi University, Italy) about cultural awareness, and how to better understand, respect and overcome cultural differences. You will get insights and helpful tools.

Each culture is based on specific values and has its own notion of time, space and communication, which impact management styles.

For example, time is considered as an unlimited resource in most Asian countries and relationships are key, while in the West, time is “counted” and has to be used efficiently. So working in multi-cultural environments can be a challenge.

PWN Paris member MARIANNE GAYE-AYRAULT (Global Education and Training Director at The Union) a French-American who has worked in France and the US; managing teams from Australia, China and Saudi Arabia to name a few - will illustrate the challenges with her own examples and you will be able to contribute and discuss.

The evening will conclude with a networking cocktail, rich of opportunities to exchange and to connect with new international contacts.

The International HUB team will also give you information about the 2019-2020 program activities

  • Afterwork networking in English and other languages: meet in a great setting, discuss business topics with native speakers and network - starting end of October – date & location to be confirmed
