PWN Paris #DEVELOP - Mentoring Programme 2020/2021 : click here to know more

We were pleased to launch this year program with the selected candidates in our prestigious host Hôtel de l’Industrie library room.

The excitement is at its most in the room. Before starting the presentation the members start chatting, getting news from one another. They feel that now, they are part of PWN Mentoring community. No need for an ice breaker, the members are comfortable in their room. We start by introducing PWN Paris Mentoring Team and go through the program objective and how it is articulated. It’s important during this kick off to set the rules and objectives but also identify the key success factors that any successful mentoring relationship experience.

For some mentors, it is a reminder for some basic communications rules that they experienced with their previous mentees. But for most of the audience, this kick off was the opportunity to go through the key ingredients to successfully live their mentoring experience.  

This kick off was the most interactive one PWN Paris Mentoring experienced. For each tip, we went through workshop. The mentees and mentors are so pleased with these exercises that they almost forgot their unique question in mind in the beginning of the session: “who’s going to be my mentoring peer?”

15min before the end of the session their curiosity is finally satisfied: The peering list of this year mentees and mentors! 35 peers all gathered in this library room at Hotel de l’Industrie getting to know more about one another and starting to share about the mentee concerns. 

The goal was reached for the peers present: the first mentoring meeting is set! Where will it be? In a restaurant? Around a wine glass of a coffee? Or for the more athletic ones in the park around a run? It’s their choice! 

Around the cocktail many happy faces and surprised ones: “what a perfect match you PWN Mentoring team did! We even have the same shirt on. What is your matching recipes? ”. As each year we say and do: “only the PWN Mentoring team really know the secret” and it will be held secret for some years.  

For those who didn’t have the chance to meet their mentor or mentee during this session, a virtual kick off session was help the week after on November 21th.
