PWN Paris Newsletter June 2020
Dear Members and Friends,
We are now entering
a new phase of the crisis, where the sanitary dimension is getting
better, but where negative economic and social aftermath are most
likely to be considerable.
It is important to
face the situation with objectivity: businesses, whether corporate or
entrepreneurs, will have to go through a tough phase.
But we need to
remember that we can collectively overcome this crisis, as we did in
2008 for instance.
Leadership and
innovation are the key leverage for transitioning to the "world
after".
At PWN Paris, we are
calling for this new world, where women and men will have equal rights
and opportunities in business and in society in general.
This is why we have
just launched our new committee dedicated to gender balance, "En avant
la mixité!", led by Cecile
Bernheim, Member of PWN Paris Advisory board and former PWN Paris
co-President. Marco Maggiorotto
is part of this committee and is talking in this newsletter about his
commitment to gender balance.
This is also why we
are closely working with a number of partners, notably Orange and Printemps.com featured in this
edition.
The influence of PWN
Paris is growing every day thanks to our vision about women leadership
and gender balance, and we are proud to have been recognised for our
work and agility, notably in times of Covid-19 where we have
transformed our offer into online events. We have been cited in
several articles this past month, notably L'Express, Ouest-France
and Les
Echos.
Besides, because we
deeply believe in collective efforts to achieve our vision, as you
know as founding member of 2GAP - Gender and
Governance Action Platform - we have been invited to participate in
discussions with Marlène Schiappa, Secrétaire d'Etat pour
l'égalité femmes-hommes.
Lastly, be prepared
for our upcoming General
Assembly, organised online on 9 July at 6.30pm. We will present an
outlook of our activities and finance reporting for 2019, as well as a
recap of our action in the first semester of 2020 during lockdown and
our plans to transition to a new, and more user friendly, web platform
very soon.
With this, please
have a look at our
calendar of activities since we have plenty of exciting online
events planned until the Summer.
