The “Prix de l'Entrepreneure Responsable“ : 1 Prize, several experiences

By Aude Latouche

On November 7th, took  place the Prix de l’Entrepreneure Responsable ceremony.

A great event which announced Lucile Hamon, co-founder of Batiphoenix, as our 7th laureate. Year after year, this event is perceived as a THE moment, but … the Prix de l’Entrepreneure Responsable is much more! Let’s get back to what it is in practice.

PWN Paris commitment over 7 years.

When launching the Prix de l’Entrepreneure Responsable in 2011, PWN Paris was one of the pionnier organization to lay the emphasis on women entrepreneurship recognition, as well as responsible economy as key trends for the future. Combining such two critical issues for the development of a better and more balanced society, was even more innovative. The intention was to bring visibility to a young female entrepreneur (less than 5 years) and to support her company development by capitalizing on the network strength and tremendous expertise.

A dedicated one year support to the Laureate.

Ahead of the visibility offered and a privileged access to the network, the laureate of the Prix de l’Entrepreneure Responsable benefits, year after year, from a dedicated team of PWN Paris experts over twelve months. These experts come from all the relevant business fields expertise (strategy, finance, law, personal coaching, human resources, communication, etc) and they are all volunteers happy to contribute few hours to the benefit of the laureate and the development of her company. Few hours offered by each expert which sum up to 80 hours and which may represent an invaluable contribution for a young company which cannot afford a whole bunch of advisors.

An experience in itself, for the applying entrepreneurs.

In line with its sharing values, PWN Paris has always tried to consider the Prix de lEntrepreneure Responsable as a valuable experience, in itself. Filing the application firm is viewed as an opportunity for the entrepreneur to think about her business. The video making sessions for the selected applicants are designed as quick pitch coaching. The Jury intends to challenge the finalists and raise benefits or issues which might be relevant for the company development. Who else may better share what it means, than Noémie Briand, finalist of the 2017 edition, who recently said "I had a tremendous experience, the Prix de l’Entrepreneure Responsable was THE moment when I finally accepted not to be afraid anymore. The Grand Jury and then the prize ceremony sealed something inside me." What better reward for all of those who contribute year after year to make the Prix de lEntrepreneure Responsable a reality!

A whole team of volunteers, sponsors and partners over several months.

Indeed, the Prix de lEntrepreneure Responsable is, on backstage, a fantastic human experience : a dedicated organization team of PWN Paris volunteers committed several months before the Closing ceremony (and still several weeks after for follow ups) ; several sponsors contributing time and/or money to support female and responsible entrepreneurship ; partners committed to source projects, communicate and relay ; and of course, the Dream team of experts over one year. It is really a great opportunity to get to know new people inside and outside the network, work with them, share ideas and innovate.

In few words, sharing, professionalism and commitment in action, all those values that have made PWN Paris a tremendous network built and perpetuated by its volunteers and partners!
